The Internet Revolution.  Embrace It.

         Pricing and Process

A basic four page site costs $295. Additional pages typically run $75.  A twelve month contract for hosting/maintenance is required.

The hosting/maintenance cost is $50 per month. This fee includes monthly server costs plus revisions, additions and deletions to your site on a monthly bases for up to an hour of labor per month.

You should have your own domain name.  Domain names must be be unique on the Internet, there is no guaranty that your first choice of name will be available.  If you don't already have a name we can help you choose one and register it for you for $35 per year.

Your web site will be designed for submittal to the ten primary search engines at no additional cost. We construct your site to be "found" by those search engines and make revisions in your site's coding to be continually found by those search engines as part of the maintenance program. The actual submittal to the individual search engines is $10 each, except Yahoo submittal is $300.  Special note concerning Yahoo:  Yahoo is the most important search engine to be listed on, however, due to fees charged for review by Yahoo, the fee for submittal is $300, and acceptance by Yahoo is NOT GUARANTEED.  See Search Engines for more information

This basic package comes with an introductory or splash page plus up to twenty graphics.  Additional graphic costs are $10 for each image image over 20 in the basic package.  You must provide the graphics required and you must have rights to use copyrighted material.  Photography and graphic art services are available at an additional charge.

Your site will be ready approximately 4-8 weeks after we receive graphics and copy. We like to drop our company logo at the bottom of your first page as a link to our own page. We create your site to be operational in all browsers.

Sites with catalogs and shopping carts are more expensive than our basic package. There is an additional cost of $200.00 for programming set-up, with a $5 per sku fee.  The monthly maintenance charge increases from $50 a month to $95 a month. A complete basic 20 item shopping cart site, for example, costs $925 including submittal to Yahoo and the other top search engines.

If you want to accept credit cards on your site you need a merchant account.  If you will use your conventional merchant account there are a couple of things to consider.  Without an Internet account you must process credit cards manually without an Internet merchant account.  Your conventional merchant account probably has a clause banning use with the Internet.  If you need an Internet merchant account we can help you set it up, fees vary.

What We Need From You

1
Your Domain Name - Your first decision is whether you use the name of your company as your domain name (the domain name is what follows the www) or if you use a word or words that summarize your service or product. If you will rely on advertising or promotion to bring in visitors then using your company name makes the most sense. If you plan to bring in most new customers via search engines, then your primary service or product should be embedded in the domain. The domain name is one of the six criteria search engines check when they decide how high to rank you in a search. For some search engines it makes the difference between a high ranking and a low one.
2
Your Categorization System - People are at their most impatient while on the web. Making your message quick and easy to read is essential. This means your site has to load quickly. To make an immediate clear impression means you have to categorize your service or product into easy to understand categories that will load quickly. We guide you to not overwhelm any one category with too many graphics or words. We create your navigation system to directly reflect the categories you use to communicate your message.
3
Your Graphic Choices - For some clients, like retailers, this is the most challenging step. Picking 100 sku's from an inventory of 3000 items from 400 vendors can take time. We work from photographs, disks, e-mailed jpgs, transparencies, or brochure material. Many of our web site are created from vendor catalog sheets.  Processing graphics is the most time consuming step when creating most web sites, tightening up contrast, cleaning up the color, deleting unrelated material, and dropping out backgrounds (to decrease loading time).  Our staff is Photoshop trained.  For most sites, the number of graphics will determine the cost of your site.
4
Choosing Your Text - We do not pretend to know your business better than you.  Text will be much better if you provide it or at least provide the framework.  Copy for the web should be short, clear and easy to read.  Make sure you have rights to use copyrighted materials.
